Marco Rubio is seeking the Republican nomination for the U.S. Senate from Florida. Under Governor Crist, Florida’s unemployment rate has run up to 12%, and unemployment in the western communities of Palm Beach County is pushing 50%.

A strong advocate of the Constitutional Second Amendment right to self defense and the right to bear arms, Marco Rubio is strong on national defense and securing our borders. Marco Rubio believes in the sanctity of life and would ban taxpayer support for abortions, and require doctors to perform ultrasounds before performing legalized abortions. As a State Representative, Marco Rubio fought government takeover of private property through eminent domain. Marco lead the Florida legislature that passed fifty-seven of Marco’s new ideas, including some critical changes to crack down on gangs and sexual predators. He promoted energy efficient buildings and appliances to make living more affordable, and he helped many small businesses obtain affordable health coverage for their employees long before it became a national issue. Former U.S. House Speaker Newt Gingrich referred to Marco’s work in Tallahassee as the “work of genius.” Marco graduated from the University of Florida Law School graduating with high honors.
