Worth reading to see how the Times views President Obama’s qualifications to be president. In short, his community organizing gives him the expertise to know which is the best government policy to provide jobs, elementary education, and family unity.

Mr. Obama is also an expert in foreign trade and national security because he lived in Indonesia as child for 4 years.

And as for protecting Israel, the “president is less likely to stereotype Muslims as fanatics — and more likely to be aware of their nationalism — [since] he once studied the Koran with them.  Also in a “first rate accent”, according to Kristof, “Mr. Obama described the call to prayer as ‘one of the prettiest sounds on Earth at sunset.’”

For some reason Kristof’s puff piece doesn’t make chills go up and down my leg, it makes chills go up and down my spine.
